Why you need a HIES Insurance Backed Guarantee.
If your chosen installer were to cease trading you could be left with faulty goods, a guarantee of no value and a potential bill to rectify any problem. If your installation company has registered you, via the scheme, for an Insurance Backed Guarantee, this protects the member’s own guarantee. This means that any claims under the member’s guarantee will be met by the insurers should the member cease to trade.
Who is MCS?
MCS is a standards organisation.They create and maintain standards that allows for the certification of products, installers and their installations. MCS certifies low-carbon products and installations used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources. MCS is a mark of quality. Membership of MCS demonstrates adherence to these recognised industry standards; highlighting quality, competency and compliance.
Who is Trustmark?
TrustMark is the Government Endorsed Quality Scheme that covers work a consumer chooses to have carried out in or around their home. When a consumer chooses a TrustMark Registered Business, they are engaging a business that has been thoroughly vetted to meet required standards, and has made a commitment to good customer service.
Safety in the Workplace.
Our SMAS Worksafe SSIP Accreditation shows that we are committed to workplace safety. It shows that our risk assessments and health and safety policies meet construction and related industries’ prequalification requirements.
Guarantees for Your Commercial Install.
Similar to HIES, IWA will supply you with an Insurance Backed Guarantee for your commercial install. Life is unpredictable, but whatever happens, an Insurance Backed Guarantee sets out to honour the terms of the guarantee, originally issued by the contractor.
Why is it important to use an EPVS member?
EPVS is a certification standard that validates the processes used by installers to ensure energy- saving, generating and/or storing estimates for home energy products are accurate and valid. They aim to protect consumers from receiving incorrect performance estimates, running costs, and where applicable, incentive income or grants by auditing the contractual paperwork to ensure it meets their certification standard.
Who is the IAA?
The Installation Assurance Authority is an industry body that provides a quality assurance framework covering: Consumer protection, technical guidance, Certification Competent Persons Scheme (CPS), installer surveillance and monitoring and training and carding. This give homeowners the confidence that insulation work is carried out to a high standard and subject to a level of rigor and surveillance which helps ensure it is done ‘Right First Time’.
What is the Gas Safe Register?
Gas Safe Register is the only official gas registration body of gas businesses and engineers in the United Kingdom. A gas engineer can only be aligned to a registered business and be issued with a license to undertake gas work on behalf of a registered business if they hold a valid and current qualification. This means you can be confident that your gas engineer is fully vetted and qualified!
